Apresentação marcada em Viena

Acabou de sair a programação das apresentações na Universidade de Viena. Minha "palestra" ficou marcada pro dia 5 de julho, às 9 da manhã, como vocês podem ver aí na figura. Fiquei feliz de me colocarem num painel de semiótica!

Enfim... Já estou me organizando em como vou aproveitar a estadia na Áustria e acabei de receber mensagens do Thomas Rainer no Facebook, para agendarmos a entrevista e também para ver se é viável que eu vá a uma festa em que ele irá discotecar, em Salzburg. Mas várias coisas estão me impedindo de ir à Overdose do dia 8 de julho. De qualquer forma, se eu não conseguir, vou tentar alguma festa em Viena mesmo.

Ontem, lendo um livro que meu orientador me emprestou, "A História do Diabo" (Editora Annablume, 2005), de Vilém Flusser, achei um trecho bem interessantes de serem relacionados ao assunto que venho estudando:

"Ética e lógica são aspectos de frases que surgem como conseqüência da abstração, como conseqüência do afastamento do pensamento da vontade. Ética e lógica são sintomas de pensamentos abstratos. A vontade, essa fonte da realidade, está além da ética e da lógica, além do Bem e do Mal, e além da verdade. A manifestação imediata da vontade é a beleza. A mente possessa pela vontade criadora é uma mente soberba. Ela se localiza além do Bem e do Mal, e sabe que arte é melhor que verdade. A música é a articulação mais pura desse clima da mente.

Música é beleza pura. Música é articulação da realidade. A essência da realidade (que é a vontade criadora) é a beleza. A estrutura da realidade são as regras da estética, é a harmonia. Ouvindo música, estamos sendo confrontados com a estrutura da realidade. É esta a razão da profunda emoção que a música nos causa, e do senso de exaltação e libertação que ela em nós provoca. Ante a música explodem mentira e pecado, e igualmente verdade e bondade. A música é o argumento derradeiro. Depois da música, nada mais pode ser dito. E o que não pode ser dito, precisa ser calado. Música dissolve Deus e o diabo, aniquila a ambos. Toda argumentação e toda dialética estão superadas e tornadas insignificativas pela música, a música as encerra. Sentimos, ao ouvirmos música: é ela a nossa origem e a nossa meta. A língua tornada beleza, que é a música, representa o nosso caminho mais direto rumo ao auto-reconhecimento. A música vence a ilusão, porque representa diretamente a realidade, que é nossa vontade criadora. É ela língua pura. A língua pura é sepultura de Deus e do diabo." (p.164)

The schedule of presentations in University of Vienna has just been published. My "lecture" will happen on July 5th, at 9 am, as you can see on this picture above. I'm so glad to be included on a semiotics panel!

Anyways... I'm already organizing myself as how I'll enjoy my travel to Austria and I just received some messages from Thomas Rainer on Facebook. We will set the date for the interview and he just told me about a party where he will be DJing, in Salzburg. Unfortunatelly, lots of things are impeding me to go to Overdose on July 8th, but that's not a final decision or answer. Nevertheless, if it really doesn't get possible, I'll try to go to another club or party in Vienna.

Yesterday I was reading a book I borrowed from my supervisor Professor, "The History of the Devil", by Vilém Flusser, I found a quote really interesting to be related to the subjects I've been studying:

"Ethics and logic are aspects of sentences that exist as consequences of abstraction, as consequence of the removal of the thought of will. Ethics and logic are symptoms of abstract thoughts. The will, this source of reality, is beyond the ethics and logic, the Good and Evil, the truth. The immediate manifestation of will is the beauty. The mind possessed by the creative will is a superb mind. It lies beyond good nad evil, and knows the art is better than the truth. Music is the purest articulation of this state of mind.

Music is pure beauty. Music is the articulation of reality. The essence of reality (which is the creative will) is the beauty. The structures of reality are rules of aesthetics, of harmony. As we listen to music, we have been confronted by the structures of reality. This is the reason of the deep emotion that music provokes in us. The lies and sins explode as they face the music, and also truth and goodness. Music is the ultimate argument. After music, nothing can be said. And what cannot be said must be silent. Music dissolves God and the Devil, it kills them both. Every argumentation and every dialetic are supressed and made insignificant by music, music finishes them. We feel as we listen to music: it is our origin and our goal. The language is turned into beauty, which is the music, it represents our path toward self-recognition. Music wins the illusion, because it represents directly the reality, which is our creative will. It is pure language. The pure language is the grave of God and the Devil."
